It’s the 8th Annual Haunted Hustle 5K & 10K Halloween Run. The 5K race is a flat course that is suitable for walkers, strollers and wheelchairs. The 10K is more “frightening” with the hills and scary views of Woodbine Cemetery. Both courses are run on the road and all ages and abilities are invited to participate. Feel free to race in costume! Registration/Check-in begins at 7:30am and Race Time is 9:00am.

Humans are invited to join ghouls, goblins and creepy, crawly, scary things to run or walk along Point Defiance Park’s Five Mile Drive at dusk. This spooktacular fun run is guaranteed to turn an evening of ghoulish exercise into a howling good time! Participants are encouraged to dress in costume and bring glow sticks, headlamps or flashlights. The first and second male and female finishers win shoes from South Sound Running. Non-competitive runners and walkers are welcome! Walkers, runners, kids & strollers and dogs (on leash) are welcome! People with strollers and/or dogs are asked to start at the back near the walkers. There will be start/finish line activities and beverages like hot chocolate, tea, coffee and water.

.5 mile Kooky Caper Costume Kid’s race (5-12 year olds), .25 mile Kooky Caper Costume Kid’s race (4 years and under). Kooky Caper is a Halloween themed kids’ costume race (Costumes are encouraged but not required for participation). Afterward the 5K and 10K runners will take off. The 5K is an out and back course, the 10K does not retrace as much.

The Pumpkin Run is a cross country run/walk held at the historic Leavenworth Ski Hill. The course winds through 100 acres of rolling, wooded National Forest lands. The trails consist of grass, dirt and gravel. The Ski Hill trails sit several hundred feet above town and provide great views of the nearby mountains and fall foliage. Wear your costume! All proceeds benefit the Junior Nordic Program.

Overall male and female winners each receive a free pair of shoes from Route 16. Best costume of the day also gets a pair of shoes. There will be a a “sports equipment drive”….bring your lightly used sports equipment or donation to the race in support of the Boys and Girls Club of Gig Harbor.

A Halloween fun run with 100% of the proceeds benefiting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Prizes for best costumes, top runners and tons of random door prizes. Timed event, USATF sanctioned. Walkers welcome, no time limit. Dogs on short leashes and strollers also welcome. Traffic free course along the shores of Lake Washington. Participants receive a trick or treat bag filled with treats and a commemorative t-shirt. Massages, hot coffee and food at the finish line. Maybe even a few spooky surprises along the way! New this year a free kids dash and pumpkin soup party after the race.
