Concrete, WA is just 35 miles from Mt. Vernon, in Skagit County. Their parade line up begins at 2:00pm near the Concrete Post Office, in preparation for the 3:00pm start. There’s no fee to enter the parade, everyone is welcome to join in the fun! Also, the newest business in town – The Washington Cafe & Bakery – will be holding their grand opening. Plan to stop by for some authentic New Orleans treats. The new restaurant is located in the historic TP Inn building on Main Street and will be open from 8:00am – 8:00pm.

Celebrate Carnival with the high-energy sounds of Snug Harbor Band! This brassy 8-piece band infuses upbeat soul with contemporary music and jazz standards. Watch live circus entertainment, come in costume, masquerade in a mask you make or get a festive facepaint from an expert. Decorate a Mardi Gras necklace in your own way or take inspiration from the necklace in the Lesley Dill exhibition. 21+ please, there’s beer in the house.

“Mask-arade” Party

In cooperation with the Port Ludlow Artists’ League “mask-er-ade” exhibit, local artists will display a competition of decorated masks throughout the Inn. Guests are encouraged to wear purple, green and gold masks. A special five course traditional feast will be served starting at 4:00pm.
