World Vision and Water4 #diduknow Twitter Contest
March 14 – 23

From March 14 – 23, submit your photos via Twitter (@Water4 or @WorldVisionUSA) or email (WaterDayPhoto@Water4.org). Be sure to use the #didyouknow and #waterday hashtags. This year’s photo contest will be judged by Water4’s celebrity ambassador, actress Jennie Garth. Prizes will be given for “most creative” and “most popular” photos. The winner will receive a Water4 water bottle, Water4 T-shirt, World Vision water bottle, a package of fair trade coffee, and a beautiful, handmade bracelet from Thailand.

The day’s expo from the City of Seattle includes representatives from organizations involved in water quality projects and programs, including King County’s clean-water utility. A program at 12:00pm will feature speakers as well as a World Water Day proclamation by King County Executive Dow Constantine and Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn.

World Water Day Film – The River Why

The Seattle International Film Festival Cinema at the Uptown Theater presents “The River Why,” a film that has won multiple festival awards. All proceeds from showing of this film benefit the work of the Partnership for Water Conservation, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing water conservation in Washington State.
