The Seattle Center Monorail is celebrating 50 years of service on Saturday, March 24, with on-train tours, kids’ activities, prizes and Elvis! Since opening for the 1962 World’s Fair, the monorail has taken thousands of visitors to Seattle Center for concerts, events and fun. Head to the Seattle Center Monorail platform between 10:00am and 1:00pm on Saturday for all the festivities, including:

Commemorative medallions for the first 200 to purchase monorail tickets after 10:00am. Ride for free if you bring an old Monorail ticket dated anytime between 1962 to 2010 or a picture of yourself as a child riding the Seattle Monorail.

On-train and facility tours, photos and memorabilia displays.

Prize drawings and light snacks.
