Starting April 22, the Broadway Market is open on Sundays in the Seattle Central Community College space. Street parking on Broadway is free on Sundays. The market features a full selection of local, in-season fruits and vegetables from Puget Sound and Eastern Washington, farmstead cheeses, fresh baked goods, organic and pasture-raised meats, seafood, honey, eggs, cut flowers, jams and preserves. In the spring, look for early greens, baby turnips, tender asparagus, plant starts and tangy rhubarb.

Columbia City Farmers Market

Open on Wednesdays starting May 2 on Edmunds Street between 37th and the alley at 36th (just off of Rainier in the heart of Columbia City). There is street parking in the vicinity, or shoppers can park for up to 2 hours in the pay lot next to the market. A visual and aromatic feast, farm tables at this market are loaded with the region’s freshest, in-season fruits and vegetables, eggs, honey, ciders, cheeses, seafood, pasture-raised meats and poultry, jams, preserves, cut flowers, and nursery stock. Local food artisans bring fresh bread, prepared foods and other goodies. Plus weekly events such as cooking demos, produce tasting, live music, activities for kids, and gardening and composting information.
