Building on its legacy of making great design accessible to all through innovative retail partnerships, Target is introducing a new design program, The Shops at Target. Through this ongoing program, Target will partner directly with the shop owners of specialty stores and boutiques to co-create affordable, limited-edition collections for its guests.

Target’s Home Division senior vice president Stacia Andersen told USA Today that people would tell her things like, “‘When you go to Miami, you have to go to The Webster!’ or ‘Have you been to Connecticut? You have to see Privet House!’ It just kept coming back to these shops that we visited and how well-curated they were and how visionary the shop owners were.”

The first flight of The Shops at Target features five exclusive collections from five US specialty stores: The Candy Store, Cos Bar, Polka Dog Bakery, Privet House and The Webster. The Webster’s Laure Heriard Dubreuil is pictured.

The collections reflect each shop owner’s unique perspective, offering Target’s guests the opportunity to experience each shop’s distinct aesthetic simply by visiting their local Target store or beginning May 6, 2012.
