Fall weather means its time to harvest the grapes in Washington state. Bringing them in, and crushing them to start a new fermentation process is often called “Crush”. And with crush, comes a time to celebrate! Here are some great wine events to check out!

Celebrate the annual Crush Festival at Lake Chelan. The barrel room doors swing wide open and the work in the vineyards comes to the crush pad. Come taste, stomp and dance! Watch the grapes tumble through the press and taste the raw juice that it produces. Get the inside scoop from the cellar master or wine maker on how the wine will taste come bottling time. Come to an all day party and see what it’s like to harvest the grapes! You’ll be picked up in front of the Woodinville Tasting Room at 8:00am and enjoy a full day of harvest fun! You’ll get to harvest and process grapes – even stomp them with your bare feet! Then enjoy a BBQ lunch. Afterwards, it’s picnic games like Wine Barrel Drag Racing, Pumpkin Bowling, Pumpkin Carving, and Apple Bobbing!
