A day of holiday events lands at the Museum with the airplane arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus at 10:00am! The jolly couple will hear childrens’ wishes in the Museum until 2:00pm, while the galleries are filled with holiday fun with music by the Boeing Concert Orchestra and the Boeing Band. Family workshops at 11:00am and 1:00pm celebrate the “Wright Spirit” of the most famous brothers in the history of aviation: Wilbur and Orville Wright – inventors of the airplane.

Featuring the kids band Recess Monkey. The Sababas, PJ Library, arts and crafts, and community candle lighting are featured. Purchase dinner at the event from Stopsky’s Delicatessen (potato latkes), Island Crust Cafe (Va’ad Kosher), Kosher Chinese, and Street Donuts. Register your family online.

Celebrate the opening of book of the bound, the remarkable exhibit of mixed-media collage, with a presentation by the artist, Carletta Carrington Wilson.
Wilson’s work explores the silence of slavery and the power of cloth to reveal what was previously concealed. With her intentionally significant use of language through found text, fabric and other materials, Wilson’s 23 altered books tell stories that have been left absent from the accounts of Transatlantic slave trade survival. Free with museum admission.

It is a great way to spend the day whether you’re an avid modeler or just looking for a fun and interesting day out with the family. Admission is $7/adults, kids 12 and under are free.
