(CBS Seattle) – Despite a down (or rebuilding) year for the WSU Cougars, a couple of players will be getting some much-deserved national attention Friday (if they want).

Seniors Jeff Tuel and Wade Jacobson have each been invited to play in the Casino Del Sol College All-Star Game, Jan. 11 at Kino Stadium in Tucson, Ariz.

During his WSU career, Tuel completed 531 of 865 passes for 5,936 yards and 33 touchdowns. Jacobson, a transfer from Gavilan College, appeared in 27 games during his WSU tenure and started in ten games in 2012.

Tuel was also selected to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, Jan. 19 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., the NFL Players Association announced recently, according to wsucougars.com.
