Baristas from the Northwest Region, including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming, will be competing in the Northwest Regional Barista Competition this weekend, February 1 – 3, at SODO’s Urban Enoteca.

The event is free and open to to the public. Come and watch the performances and taste some delicious coffees! Round one gets started at 12:00pm on Friday, February 1. Round 2 kicks off at 11:00am on Saturday, February 2. You’ll taste coffees made by talented baristas, engage with other java lovers and see cutting edge coffee brewing equipment.

Then on Saturday, February 2, Dillanos Coffee Roasters will be hosting a NWRBC Party at Cherry St Coffee in Pioneer Square. There will be a hot dog cart, beer, live music, and of course – coffee! Come hang out and talk about your favorite cuppa with baristas, roasters and other coffee fanatics.

On Sunday, February 3 it’s the Finals starting at 9:00am, and the awards ceremony at 12:30pm.

The NW Regional Competition is one of six competitions held in the US. The winners from each competition will go head to head at the US Barista Championship to be held in Boston this April.
