It started in 1997 as Everett Women’s Film Festival, a time to recognize outstanding international female filmmakers and actresses. Today, the 16th Annual Everett Film Festival will be taking place on February 8 and 9 at the Everett Performing Arts Center.

The two day event will begin with an evening Gala at 6:00pm on Friday. Following, all the films in the festival are directed by women. Documentaries and comedies tell wonderful stories of relationship, survival, and hope. From China to New Zealand to the US, the festival has Emmy award winning films and selections from Sundance Film Festival, like Your Sister’s Sister, starring Emily Blunt.
