Last week I went 9-2 in college football and 7-5 in the NFL — again, straight up, no point spreads here that’s for Las Vegas and Steve Sandmeyer. It’s a huge week in college, highlighted by a slew of rivalry games, some of which have BCS ramifications.

Yes, I like the Washington Huskies to win the Apple Cup handily, though for me this is clearly a team capable of hurting themselves enough via penalties and turnovers to keep the visiting Washington State Cougars in the game, or even allow them to win it for a second straight year.
The Iron Bowl has BCS implications; If Alabama wins, they’ll set up an SEC Championship game matchup with Missouri and take one step closer to another national title game. If Auburn wins, they’ll sneak into the title picture themselves.

I didn’t go with a lot of underdogs, but if the 49ers and Seahawks looks past the Rams and Saints, they each could lose. I don’t see either team doing so, therefore I have both winning at home.
I like the home teams — Detroit, Dallas and Baltimore — on Thanksgiving Day, and only have two road teams winning all week — the New England Patriots at Houston and Denver at Kansas City.
