VANCOUVER, Wash. (CBS Seattle) – A burglary suspect who was tackled to the ground soiled himself as he wrestled with the victim.
Jason Guerra told police that he was coming in the house from the garage with his girlfriend when they saw a strange man standing in their living room, KPTV reported. Guerra said that the suspect, Nathan Severin, was holding a laptop and a backpack that belonged to Guerra’s son.
Severin tried to walk out of the front door with the items, but Guerra tackled him and they began wrestling on the ground.
The suspect then told Guerra that he had soiled himself.
“He said everything he could think of,” Guerra told KPTV. “He said he was in a bad spot. He didn’t mean to. That he was sorry. And one of the last things he said was, ‘Come on man, I pooped my pants.'”

Police arrived to the scene and arrested Severin who was taken to the hospital for an evaluation prior to being booked in jail.
At the hospital, he allegedly kicked a nurse in the arm and while being handcuffed again after an X-ray. Severin also kicked an officer in the face, according to a probable cause affidavit.
“He had some issues,” Guerra said. “He had a bad day.”
Severin is charged with first-degree burglary and third-degree assault. He was in court Tuesday and his bail is set at $40,000.
