Greg Scruggs: ‘I Think I’ll Play Everywhere’
(1090 The Fan) — Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Greg Scruggs called from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and talked exclusively about his visit to the Master’s Championship on The Steve Sandmeyer Show. Always a great conversationalist, he wafted poetically about cheap chicken sandwiches, people reacting to him in the gallery and walking the Augusta National course with his dad.
He also talked a little bit about football, his health and his playing weight as the Seahawks enter camp. “I think I’ll hover about 305 or 310,” he said of his expected playing weight for 2014. “I think I’ll play everywhere. I took pride in playing all four positions.” Scruggs was drafted as a defensive end but played inside in his limited action in 2012, including in the NFC Divisional Playoff at Atlanta.
