Just 33 weeks after the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos met in the Super Bowl, they will square off again in a rematch at CenturyLink Field. The last meeting went particularly well for Seattle, ending in a 43-8 victory and the franchise’s first Lombardi Trophy. On the path back to the Super Bowl, the Seahawks will have to get past the Broncos as a regular season opponent. While the game is easily the most expensive of the week on the secondary market, the game stands out less when compared to the price of other Seattle Seahawks tickets this season.

According to TiqIQ, the average price for Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos tickets is currently $364.49, which is actually 6% below the season average for home games on the Seahawks schedule. Only three games in Seattle have a lower average price — Week 9 against the Oakland Raiders, Week 12 against the Arizona Cardinals and Week 17 against the St. Louis Rams. However, the get-in price of $159 is the most expensive for any remaining home game except for the Week 15 game against San Francisco. These days it’s hard to come by cheap tickets in Seattle. In fact, over the last five years the average price to see a game at Centurylink Field has increased more than any other team in the NFL.

The December 14 game has the most expensive average price for all remaining regular season dates in Seattle. The average price for Seahawks vs. 49ers tickets is currently $515.15, 33% above the season average.

Both Seattle and Denver enter this game looking like the top contenders they were all of last regular season. The Broncos are 2-0 after two wins at home against the Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs, two playoff teams from a year ago. While Seattle handled the Green Bay Packers easily on the opening Thursday night of the season, the San Diego Chargers were able to effectively keep the ball away from the Seattle offense and take a win at Qualcomm Stadium.

Even with the loss in Week 2, the Seahawks are still considered the top team in the NFC. The Broncos, however, have made a case to be considered the top team in the NFL through two weeks. This game will be the first road game Denver plays this season, but it will not be the most expensive. Denver’s visit to New England in Week 9 currently has an average price of $563.24, 77% above the average price for Patriots tickets this season.

Ticket prices would still have a long way to go in order to match what the asking price was for this match-up last February in New Jersey. The average price for the Super Bowl was $3,375.88 with a get-in price of $1,278. For those fans in Seattle who waited the 33 weeks, they’ll be getting a significant discount for the same matchup. While the end result won’t carry the same weight as a Super Bowl win, it’s hard to imagine either team treating this like just another regular season game.
