(1090 The Fan) — Bill Vinovich will act as head referee for Super Bowl XLIX, the National Football League announced Tuesday.

This will be Vinovich’s first Super Bowl

The full Super Bowl XLIX officiating crew will consist of Vinovich, Bill Schuster (umpire), Dana McKenzie (head linesman), Mark Perlman (line judge), Bob Waggoner (field judge), Tom Hill (side judge) and Terrence Miles (back judge).

Vinovich most recently refereed the AFC divisional round game between the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens..

Vinovich has been active for nine years (from 2001 to 2006, and from 2012-present). He refereed two games for the Seattle Seahawks this season. Both games were Seattle wins, coming against the Denver Broncos in week three and against the Philadelphia Eagles in week 14.

Since 2012, the Seahawks are 5-0 in games with Vinovich.
