(1090 The Fan) — Seattle Seahawks linebackers coach Ken Norton. Jr will be the new defensive coordinator for the Oakland Raiders, the team announced Friday morning.

Norton. Jr, who joined the Seahawks in 2010, had previously spent six seasons as a linebackers coach at the University of Southern California (USC). This will be his first time acting as defensive coordinator.

The departure of Norton Jr. marks another change for the Seahawks coaching staff this week. Monday, it was announced that defensive coordinator Dan Quinn would take over as the new head coach for the Atlanta Falcons. (Quinn spoke about his new position on Thursday’s The Steve Sandmeyer Show.)

Former Seahawks defensive assistant Marquand Manuel is expected to joined Quinn’s staff in Atlanta.
