SEATTLE (AP) — The Washington State Patrol says road rage and alcohol were contributing factors in a three-car collision on Interstate 5 in south Seattle that killed one woman.

Trooper Chris Webb said Thursday the drivers of a black Chevrolet SUV and a blue Dodge Neon were involved in a “road rage” incident that began in the southbound lanes Wednesday night. Both drivers were arrested on investigation of vehicular homicide.

The state patrol says 23-year-old Andrea Dickey of Centralia, a passenger in the sedan, died at the scene. Two drivers and a passenger were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Webb says the crash happened when the driver of the SUV applied his brakes suddenly and the Dodge Neon struck it in the rear. A third vehicle hit the sedan from behind; that car’s driver was unhurt.
