With three swing states closing polls by 7:30pm ET, it could be a short election night.
Florida, Ohio, and North Carolina, all battleground states on the east coast, are going to be tight. But should Hillary Clinton take any one of those, the margin of error becomes extremely small for Republican nominee Donald Trump.
With Florida’s 29 electoral votes, a win for Clinton would be a devastating blow early for the Republicans.
Beyond Florida, North Carolina’s 15 and Ohio’s 18 electoral votes also are critical to Trump’s campaign. A Clinton win in either one of those states, and Trump would need to flip blue-leaning Michigan and Pennsylvania to have a shot.
