This will be a silent vigil and there will be no speeches. At 5:46am, the Kobe Bell will sound, correlating to the time that the North Tower was struck. The consecutive three events of that day will be marked in the same manner at 6:03am, 6:37am and 7:03am. Join in the meditative reflection, community and remembrance – and stay for a nationally observed moment of silence at 10am.

The Tacoma Fire Department Honor Guard invites you to join them for the 10th anniversary “Remembering 9/11” ceremony. The event begins at 9:30am.
Firefighters will be accepting donations on behalf of the Pierce County Emergency Food Network at this event. Please bring non-perishable food items (e.g. peanut butter) to drop off in support of this important community service.

Cantare Vocal Ensemble joins with Sammamish Symphony Orchestra and members of Sacred Music Chorale, Northwest Chamber Chorus, Seattle Peace Chorus, and others at Holy Rosary Church in West Seattle to honor the 3,000 victims, survivors and countless heroes of 9/11. Funds collected during the memorial and a portion of ticket proceeds will be donated to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund.

All proceeds from the climb will be donated to the New York Firefighter and Police Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund. Firefighters and Police Officers from everywhere along with their friends and family are welcome to participate! Each participant will wear a picture of one of the 343 New York City Fire Fighters or one of the 61 Police Officers who perished on September 11, 2001. This is your opportunity to celebrate the lives of the fallen, by remembering the sacrifice they and others have selflessly given.

Join in a two-hour ride that will travel through JBLM and end up at Evergreen Park in Bremerton in time for a memorial dedication at 12:00pm. Organizers hope to recruit 10,000 riders and drivers.

5:46 am – American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into WTC North Tower

6:03 am – United Airlines flight 175 crashed into WTC South Tower

6:37 am – American Airlines Flight 77 flew into the Pentagon

6:59 am – Tower 2 (South Tower) Collapsed

7:03 am – United Airlines Flight 93 crashed near Shanksville, PA

7:28 am – Tower 1 (North Tower) collapsed

World Trade Center Artifact will be on display.

Seattle Storm Appreciation Night

Washington’s Governor Christine Gregoire will recognize local members of the armed services, while first responders and the military will participate in the Seattle Storm’s Appreciation Night. A moment of silence will be observed. Fans are encouraged to bring toothpaste, toothbrushes, and postage stamps for service men and women overseas. Donations will be collected by Operation Bald Eagle.

Please join the community to memorialize the fallen as well as survivors and families of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center in New York. A 9/11 memorial exhibit can be viewed from 12-7pm at the museum. Following, at 7pm, there will be a candlelight vigil at the Alki Statue of Liberty Plaza (pending permission from the Seattle Parks Department).
