2013 Storm Broadcast Team

Dick Fain | Play-by-Play Announcer

fainDick Fain is entering his fifth year as the “Voice of the Storm.” Previously, Fain was the sideline reporter as well as fill-in play-by-play and color analyst from 2002-06 and has been part of the broadcast team for both title runs in 2004 and 2010. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1996 with a degree in broadcast journalism after attending Mount Rainier High School in Des Moines, where he continues to serve as a boys basketball coach. Dick received a Masters in Sports Leadership in 2011 from Seattle University, which included an internship in the Storm front office. A lifelong resident of the Seattle area, Fain and his wife Janna live in the Seattle suburb of Normandy Park. They have two children, two-year-old Dixon and daughter Aubrey, who was just born in May 2012.

Adia Barnes | Color Analyst

barnesFormer Storm player Adia Barnes is in her sixth season as the color analyst for the Storm’s radio broadcast. The seven-year WNBA veteran spent the 2002-04 seasons in Seattle. Drafted in 1998 by the Sacramento Monarchs, Barnes played with four different teams and finished her career averaging 3.8 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. Barnes’ previous broadcast experience includes working for NBA TV. Barnes recently completed her first season as an assistant coach for the University of Washington women’s basketball team.
